An Entrepreneur's Deliberate Practice Plan
I read this today:
“Deliberate practice is superior to all other forms of training. That is a “solved problem” in the academic field of talent development. It might as well be a law of physics.” - https://www.justinmath.com/the-most-superior-form-of-training/ (a fantastic blog about learning and performance)
How does deliberate practice apply to becoming a better entrepreneur and business leader?
Here’s my four step process for Entrepreneurship Deliberate Practice:
Regularly reflect on what you’re learning each day. Listen to a podcast? Write down what you learned. Read a blog that taught you an insight? Write down the insights.
Regularly quiz yourself on the insights and lessons you’ve written down. (Quizzing is the best way to deliberately practice)
Apply what you are learning to see how it fits. Nothing sticks like experiential learning. Take something you learned and try it out.
Reflect on how the experience went then start the cycle again.
Repeat this daily and you’ll get better at your job.
